Each year, during the month of July, the Dharma Schools of the Los Angeles Betsuin and Senshin Buddhist Temple sponsors the Saishin Dojo School Program "Dojo" is the ancient word for a Buddhist Temple, with the implication of its being a place where enlightenment is cultivated. "Sai" means "nishi" or "west", from Nishihongwanji and "shin" means kokoro or "mind/body", from Senshin Temple.
The program consists of an all-day instructio program from 8:30am to 3:30pm with pick-up service until 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Saishin Dojo is currently held at the Senshin Buddhist Temple. Student's parent or guardian must be a member of a temmple to qualify for enrollment.
